Alicia Toro was inspired to draw at a young age after discovering a portrait of her father by an unkinown artist. She received a classical art training at The Water Street Atelier in Brooklyn and The Art Students League of New York. She holds a B.A. in Art History and an M.S. in Education and remains an advocate for arts education. Alicia continues to teach in schools and museums in the U.S. and abroad.
She currently lives in New York City.
